A Different Place and Time by luthien27 A Different Place and Time by luthien27
After many years of blissful togetherness, the man and the woman decided that it was time to gather the sweet memories of their union and place them in a special place. The man took bits of his clothes and a rusted key from their favorite clock and assembled them into a book. This book, he called Time.

The woman in turn, took bits of her own lace, some old love letters that he had sent her and a keyhole from the door of the home they shared together, and made it into another book. And this, she called Place.

After a time, the man and the woman passed on from this world. In their hands, they cradled a book close to their hearts. He cradled her book, and she his. For it was a promise that they made to each other … that one day, in a different place and time … the books would come together, and their hearts would once again unite …

The books were created mainly using polymer clay, decorators’ caulk and paint on hardboards. Other elements to the assemblages are rusted vintage hardware, linen, gauze and lace.

Are you sure that you're not capable to completely customize the book cover by drawing a motive on it? i was considering a face for my book cover when i finally ordered from you.

:D I can draw a motif but i can't draw a face. i'm quite useless at drawing anything resembling human actually or anything that's got to do with realism art.

That's the fun part you see, the face is not human, it's resambling a mask which should make it much easier to 'copy' and put it onto the cover.

AWESOME!! Because i came to the conclusion after long hard thinking; how the heck can 'one' image define my series of novels? and then, through my philosophy, i had the definition in front of me as i stared into another persons face: "It's a face! i need the face of the character, he experienced everything we read and his face there is only one of, looking at his face will be like flashing every chapter of the tale in front of you, genius!"

cool!! perhaps there could be some kind of symbols or words embedded in the face which maybe describe his characteristics or some of his experiences. anyhow ... we can definitely work on that when the time comes :) xo
