Dream Keeper

This journal is a custom commission.

Dream Keeper is inspired by the client’s love for skulls, hearts, the old, the rusted and the darker side of dreams.

This is a mixed media handbound journal. The artwork on the front cover combines paint, ink, stamps, clay, brass augmented by fire, rusty objects and a brass skull embedded in glass. The page marker is made up of a brass chain and ends with an old rusty key and a piece of old mother-of-pearl. The artwork is then aged and distressed. The covers are finished with several coats of varnish to protect the artwork.

Upon the client’s request, the pages in this journal are Artist Quality 160gsm white paper, capable of taking ink, pencil and paint. This piece was commissioned for Art Journaling.
