Elven I

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost ...

This necklace was inspired by the words of JRR Tolkien in Lord of the Rings. I have wandered most of my life and sometimes I wonder if I am actually lost. Could I have done better? I’ll never know I guess. We are however, shaped by our experiences. I trust that this path was meant for me and my many past wanderings have brought me to where I am at this point in time. Would I wander further … definitely.

This necklace is made out of many different elements. The collar is leather and the plate on which the phrase is stamped, is a piece of zinc sheet I happen to find lying around. It called to me so I had to use it. It has been eroded to take away some shine then varnished to keep the rust away. The elven inspired swirls is a piece of handformed and hammered 14 gauge silver plated wire, oxidized organically. Other elements include antique brass chain, hardware nuts and a piece of AA quality Ocean Jasper.

*the circumference of the necklace is 16 inches (hugs the neck like a choker), +plus 3 inches extension. if you need the necklace cord a little longer please convo me
*the pendant is approx 4 inches in length
*the silver wires have been oxidized organically (no chemicals were used) and are thus irregular in tone. Becos tastes may vary, take this into consideration when deciding whether to purchase this item.
