Description

This mixed media piece is inspired by the ruggedness and the desolate beauty of Emily Bronte’s moors as described in her novel, Wuthering Heights.

The chain of the necklace is made of dark annealed steel wires twisted around a variety of brass tone findings and shimmery glass beads to symbolize the twisted heath that grow within the moors glistening in the morning dew. Other components used in this piece are brass wires augmented by fire, fibers, silks, leather and lace, Jasper, Howlite and Petrified Wood beads. The focal of this piece must be the miniature book make of leather and coffee stained pages with an etched clay heart and a beautiful vintage French key.

*The necklace is 32 inches in circumference. Can be worn long, or short when doubled up.

*The pendant is 7 inches from ring to end of fiber

"If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he annihilated, the universe would turn into a mighty stranger."
Wuthering Heights...made me cry the first time I read it.
