Fairytale

Once upon a time there lived a little girl whose father bought her a lot of storybooks to read in her spare time. She read and she read and she read … and believed that unicorns, mermaids, dragons, elves and fairies … they all exist. Old castles in wondrous faraway lands, warrior princesses riding flying horses and courageous knights in armor fighting darklords … are real.

This little girl is all grown up now … but she never stopped believing ...

This mixed media book necklace is made out of leather, copper, brass, clay, paint, resin, coffee stained papers, a tiny old luggage key, various copper and brass toned findings and beads, bits of saree, glass beads, various jasper beads, mother of pearl and a beautiful piece of Chinese Turquoise. The castle in the book is sculpted in clay.

* the full length of the necklace (halved) from clasp to book is 18 inches. The circumference for the neck is 20 inches around.

* the book measures approx. 1.5 (W) x 2 (H) x 0.75 (T) inches and has 154 writable pages.
