According to Pharaonic Egypt :
“The flowers of the blue water lily emerge out of the water in the morning and recede back into the water at noon. Thus they became a symbol of the sun rising out of the night, as well as the continual renewal of life.”
This pair of copper earrings was created out of repurposed copper, copper wires, bits of lace, jasper beads and artisan ceramic beads. The two concave copper forms were hammered into shape using the dents and crevices found on an old driftwood.
