Artisan Crafts / Jewelry / Necklaces & Pendants

During the 19th century women were supposed to grow up, get married to a rich man and try to live happily ever after. one woman defied this social norm, and it was her strength within that allowed her to defy all odds and achieve her dream as a novelist. and altho Jane Austen never married ... she's made a mark in the history of literature and paved the way for many future female novelists.

Inspired by the Women of Literature, this piece is made out of a repurpose crochet lace (coffee stained), a miniature handmade book (coffee stained pages and leather cover), a vintage pen nib, an old Indian coin from 1943, repurpose copper, paper, resin, natural stone - jasper, agate, pyrite, tourmaline, picasso, 16/18 g brass wires augmented by fire and other metal-brass findings.

* necklace circumference is 26 inches

* whole length of necklace (halved) plus pendant is 17 inches

Love the concept. It's interesting.I also really love the stained lace, the miniature book (as usual ^^) and the decorated circle with the coin and the vintage pen nib. Really beautiful.
